I had the pleasure of meeting the great Stan Lee at Planet Comicon Kansas City in 2016. He was taking a break from signing autographs and I happened to walk past him as he was sitting in a chair near a vendor drinking bottled water. I was shocked that nobody was hoarding him and took it upon myself to talk to him. I told him how that I was a huge fan of his as a kid and that I collected Marvel comics because of his creations/influence. He seemed very gracious and humble. I asked him who his favorite character was and with a big smile he said "Spiderman". He also told me it was his last year of touring at Comic Cons. I told him thank you for taking the time to talk to me and I walked away feeling awestruck. I never thought growing up I would ever meet him and he seemed like such a great guy. I'm a huge MCU nerd and I will miss his cameos immensely.
