When the L.A. Angels were a minor league team they played in "Wrigley Field" on Avalon Blvd. in south central L.A. There was an African American lady in her 50s that sat at every game behind home plate. EVERY game ! The radio announcers called her Angel Annie. Whenever the Angels scored or did something great she yelled out a "noise" that could be heard over most of south central. I've never heard any man or woman scream that loud. If someone could do some research on her that would be great. My recollection would be that this all took place in the late 40s and up to the mid 50s and maybe all the way until the team folded when the major leagues arrived here in 1958.
