For many its a "sports day". You wear "sports gear". If your "gear" celebrates a team not playing and its your favorite team-so be it. Better than a coat and tie which is what the fans used to wear "back in the day". Check out those Yankee world series photos back in the 40s and even 50s. People dressed like going to a wedding-or a funeral. Doesn't bother me if I go to a Charger Ram game and see someone wearing a Giant jersey. After all it's FOOTBALL !
