If you ever read the book, Friday Night Lights, most of the kids on the Permian team lost interest in football in college because they were used to 10-15K people sold out stadiums in high school only to go onto playing for 20-30 people in college.. Gotta be total culture shock for the kids... I grew up here watching my future high school play Odessa Permian in the playoffs almost every year.. Totally sold out stadiums, people fighting to get in.. Crazy stuff... but, really, really cool... In high school those kids are rock stars..
