No restriction on anything EXCEPT skiing-and that's a biggie for me. The reason is that if you fall and the rod pops out (its only in the socket with pressure-no metals etc) your in deep trouble up on a mountain slope. I'll still ski but I'm very anxious and stick to the more benign slopes.
As far as running goes there were no restrictions. However, if I had to chase after my dog, etc I couldn't do it. But that's me although most people I know with the same surgery feel the same way. I can trot or do a slow jog but no more sprinting or full out running. Again, that's MY experience.
