The first was roughly 20 yrs ago and the second (different hip) was 5 yrs ago. The first I was in the hospital for a week. The second I went home the morning after the surgery. Different techniques. First one they sliced through the muscles whereas the second they separated the muscles. Compared to a knee replacement it a simple surgery. Very few "parts" to account for. Artificial rod inserted into the socket. That's about it.
Yeah the procedure has come along way....I could have gone home 2 days but opted for 3....I am the cautious type.
Did the doctors/therapists tell you no more running?
