living in an area where we only have one actual weather phenomena... "heat".... I used to scoff at those who feared 'weather'... rain and wind scary? I didn't get it.

Of course as I grew out of adolescence I learned better... never the less... I always thought I'd be the one who would 'ride out' anything weather related. Last year, however, my home was hit with a 'small' tornado.... and I thought the world was going to end.

They are expecting 20" of rain in North Carolina.... we get 9" a YEAR... if we're lucky. 20" in one storm would turn my area into a lake... probably a permanent one. Instead of farming I'd have to start running a marina.

My suggestion to anyone effected - 'be smart'... you can't beat mother nature. - JamesJM
