I think I was about 3 or 4 when we got our first TV. What I remember was this.... getting up before even my Dad was a awake, and he was a farmer... and watching Static until the test pattern came on waiting for "Cartoon Capers".

I remember in the early morning hours the morning sun would shine in and blank out our TV screen..... BUT... it was in a cabinet so you could leave the door open, blocking the sunlight, and sit slight to the side and watch the cartoons unfold. - JamesJM
