The photo of the gun/discs was, if I remember correctly, actually a Star Trek gun.. I think if I were to go to my mom's house now, which was sold 20 years ago, I could still find a disc or two somewhere in that house.. I may still have the gun and a few discs in the attic..
Of course, the VertiBird was my absolute favorite toy of all time - my "BB gun", so to speak.. I still have my original VertiBird, which still works, and another working VertiBird I bought a few years ago plus a whole bunch of spare parts.. The VertiBird worked off 4 C or D cell batteries, but I hooked my HO train transformer to the battery connects and powered it with the transformer, so I could play with it as long as I wanted..
I still have my Strange Change Toy in the attic.. That was another one of my most favorite toys ever.. Played with it for hours and hours.. Funny, tho, all 3 of these toys would probably be banned these days for safety concerns:
Gun/discs - you'll shoot your eye out
VertiBird - you'll whack an eye out on the prop
Strange Change - you'll get second degree burns
..but I loved all 3.. best toys ever..
Friendship is like peeing your pants.. Everybody can see it, but only you can feel the warmth..
