In jr high. I would get up from a tackle and everything would be green for several minutes. I didn’t think a thing about it. Just lowered my head and made another tackle. The helmet I had I probably could have turned it around on my head.
I think if I knew that the coaches were vigilant and that they understood it was a game... and the equipment fit... I would let my kid play. But it would worry me.
I didn’t wrestle because a kid got a neck injury and was paralyzed. Horrible. But it’s probably like that to some degree with any sport. My daughter would love to ride horses. Just seems like the worst idea I have ever heard.
