REALLY nice guy. Found myself in the same situation twice in my career. Both unintended. The first, I was a lone guy driving a tanker and pulled up to an active shooting. I knew because the shooter was TEN FEET from me. He had just shot a guy 6 times. Three to the back of the head. He was just standing there, waiting to be arrested. Than God, he was not looking to eliminate witnesses. The last was just 4-5 years ago when a teenager shot both of his Parents. Two young Cops called us in BEFORE securing the home. I always tell people that it's not the running into burning building but the intangibles of being a Firefighter that are dangerous.......The unknown.
