I had decided to resurrect my HO set up from child hood, since I had decent money coming in and time to mess with it.. I had it laid out on a 4'x8' sheet of plywood and every week I'd buy a couple more buildings, or crossings, or mountains etc... I had a really nice setup going until one night I forgot to totally shut the door..
The next day I went into the train room to work on my setup and the whole town was destroyed.. It looked like Godzilla had ravaged the town, followed by a tornado.. Everything was pretty much destroyed, except for the trains and track.. I looked closely at the destruction and noticed the very distinct marks of chewing.. Had Godzilla turned to eating buildings?
No, my Beagle Snoopy (the 3rd) had gotten in the room and had a all night chewing party.. I can only imagine the horror the townspeople felt as a Godzilla-sized Beagle destroyed their town.. I only wished I had it on film.. I wasn't even mad - just disappointed..
After that I decided to get an N scale setup - bigger layout in the same space.. Never did get it rolling.. I still have both the remaining HO stuff and N scaled stuff in my attic.. One day maybe Hooterville will be resurrected again.. Although now we have TWO Beagles..
