Boring is good

I read an article in a scientific journal some time ago that praised the benefits of boredom. The act of finding a way to entertain oneself was beneficial as opposed to not having to work at it.

We all have "back in the good ole days" stories but I do recall sitting on the front lawn on summer days counting the lady bugs in the grass. I look back on that as being a warm and fuzzy feeling-which ain't too bad.
