"The City"

I grew up in western Oklahoma. In that part of the state, everyone refers to Oklahoma City as just "The City". As in, "We're going to The City this weekend". And everyone knows what you mean. In the WESTERN part of the state.

In the eastern part of the state, especially around Tulsa, they are more likely to refer to it as "That cesspool at the other end of the turnpike."
