also have to look at shots on goal and corners. I always see who is controlling midfield, any mismatches and who is first to the ball. Croatia has a very good midfield.

some teams excel at counterattacks (a quick strike when a team is to far up or out of position- like a long bomb in football). Wont show up in time of possesion but its a score and there are often not many in soccer.
