Ticketmaster was busted holding and selling the best tickets of their events to scalping agencies, who were owned by.. Ticketmaster.. So, bottom line they were scalping their own best seats, but did it in a way that legally circumvented the law.. Complete crap, but nothing has ever been done about it.. So, they're basically making 5-100X face value for tickets they're supposed to be selling at face value..
