And SSD's... I have both, by the way. I can't tell a bit of difference. But I'm not talking VR here... or even gaming. I do, however, do a lot of video editing which I believe puts all computer components to the test.
I thought sure getting a SSD would make for a noticeable increase in speed running all Apps... it really didn't.
My current laptop, a 2008 Macbook, is on it's last legs and I'll have to replace it soon.... I really don't know if I'm going to pay the 'premium' for a SSD drive... I'm not convinced they are that much of an improvement in speed. Also factoring in is the fact that on my laptop I do NOTHING very intensive... no video editing, no gaming... some financial stuff, a spreadsheet or two, mostly just browsing the internet.
