c-wise, it depends upon how old your mac is.. if you mac has Thunderbolt 3 plugs, then supposedly you should be good to go.. My Mac has Thunderbolt 2, so they're saying the data throughput isn't high enough for VR.. In VR, frames per second (FPS) is super important.. if not high enough, the quality will be crap and you'll more than likely get motion-sickness.. Another office has work has an old Occulus Rift setup that has a really low FPS rate and I get sick on that thing within 30 seconds.. But, with the HTC Vive setup, I'm on it 8-10 hours a day testing what I'm building and have never once gotten sick..
So, check what Thunderbolt plugs your mac has.. if you have 3, you can go HTC Vive, but keep in mind, the Vive uses external sensors that you hafta mount on a wall or tripod.. The Samsung Odyssey is self contained - which is why we will probably switch to it..
Friendship is like peeing your pants.. Everybody can see it, but only you can feel the warmth..
