I know people like that... lots of them, most in fact - who think that because THEY like it you have too.
Which reminds me.. mixing two threads... my wife does this to me, constantly.. she'll start telling a story about 'so and so'.... I'll ask, "Who is Biff Bongo", (or whatever name she comes up with), to which she will reply, without fail, "you know him", or 'her'.... but I don't... but she will NOT accept that.... to the point of getting furious with me and demanding that I admit I know the person she's referring too... "No I don't them" is NOT an option. So I've gotten sarcastic about it.
When she says, "Purvis Pickle's son moved to India" I no longer ask, "Who is Purvis Pickle?"... instead I say, "Purvis... yeah, he and I were at the strip club together last night".... then comes the eye dagger shooting thing... far more tolerable than 5 hours of "you know him", "no I don't", "yes you do", "no i don't", "yes you do", "no I don't", "yes you do", "no I don't". - JamesJM
