Offsides in soccer is a bit more complex than I thought. In fact, I don't think I know exactly how it's defined.
They were showing a replay and it looked to me to be clearly offsides and yet... the announcers weren't so sure. And they certainly know the game better than I do...
They didn't get into very deeply but their comments led me to believe it takes something a 'bit more' to be offsides than simply being behind the defenders?
