on a plane or anywhere else for that matter.... when I first got mine I used it quite a bit... NOT to be equated with the way people use them today... like an additional bodily appendage that you can't do without... but I did use it a lot.
I quickly grew tired of it... or felt any emotional attachment to it. I seldom have my phone on me, and this INFURIATES people who try to contact me. I seldom check voice mail... plus, where I live we have 1 bar reception at best so text, voice mail, most often does not get thru.
On a plane I 'used' to use mine constantly for GPS tracking but as you say... airplanes now offer it so my cell phone is in my carry-on luggage at all times. I have no need of it... I don't read on a plane, I don't sleep on a plane, I don't watch a movie on a plane... I look out the window.
Although it happens VERY infrequently I occasionally get a flight with few passengers... I always try to choose flights where this is most likely to happen no matter how inconvenient the time of day. LOVE those flights, moving from seat to seat... or I should say window to window.
The TSA stuff... yeah, I saw that option for the first time this last flight and was thinking of getting it... thanks for the review.
I saw they also offer 'pre-customs check' now, (haven't looked into it very well so I'm not sure how it works), which I'm considering. Custom lines are HELL.
