Yeah-Tigers and great whites are similar. The Tiger shark is like a warm water Great White. The first one I saw was on the bottom about 40 ft below me. He just kept swimming. Never came up off the bottom. The one in the Seychelles was different. Much different. I had about an 80 lb Dogtooth Tuna on a stringer attached to my floating line. I finally let the fish go. He smelled it and took a bite or two and then kept following me
on the surface. About 50 yds from the swim step I lost him -or her. Have no idea why "it" left. It was close to sundown which is when they come looking for turtles in shallow water. Anyway, I tried to convince my friends -including my wife-as to what happened-but they were way too much involved in the sunset and drinks to care or even believe me. They also wanted to know why I let the fish go. Screw them.
