Not sure if you ever read “To Build a Fire” by London. One of my favorite short stories. Rocking Horse Winner by Lawrence, I believe, is another favorite. It probably takes me as long to read a short story as it does for most people to read a book. But when I finish one I feel like I have accomplished something.
