I watched that show religiously and I never saw Kiss or Van Halen on it... But I don't remember ever really seeing anyone I really wanted to... but I was a kid and hadn't expanded my tastes past the hits for a lot of bands... so if BTO was "playing something off the new album" then I probably wasn't too impressed no matter what it was. Most of these bands I would be more interested in now then when I was 10... but I am starting to get pretty finicky with what I can listen to anymore.
