leave them plugged in and running 24/7? Just wondering because I have 4 external drives for backup, but only plug them in when I wanna backup or retrieve stuff.. One I've had for about 7 years and the other three are between 6 and 2 years old with no problems.. But the one I had at work blew up pretty quick after leaving it plugged in backing up stuff all the time..
