just pointing something out... that applies to ME...
Siri.
I'm a reader... and the last few years I kind of fell away from reading BUT... I have renewed my passion. I'm currently reading some very complex and difficult to understand books, (which books is not important). They are philosophical in nature. The vocabulary is WAY over my head.
I like to hold a BOOK... Rambeau and I discussed this several times. I get more out of reading when I am holding a book than I do when I'm reading off a Kindle - or any other electronic device. That's NOT criticism of electronic devices for reading... to each his own... BUT...
I did LOVE the convenience of hi lighting a word in an electronic device and getting a semi-immediate definition.
Slow to 'tech', as I am these days... not long ago it occurred to me.... my smartphone lies on a wireless charger not far from head when I'm lying in bed... so I gave it a try, while reading.
"Hey Siri, what is the definition of concupiscence". oops, sorry, bad example.
AND.. Siri gave me the definition... WONDERFUL. Slight problem:
Siri doesn't understand me all that well. Some words it misunderstands and no effort in enunciation clues Siri in. So there is that. BUT...
For the 'most' part... I'm loving it. I no longer buy electronic books... I get paperbacks, sometimes hardcovers, and I call out to Siri when stumped. - JamesJM
