Problem is, yesterday I turned it down fairly low - even by non-musician standards lol - and after 30 minutes it still shut off.. this was at a level about average TV listening level.. The Sony was outside the TV stand area, so plenty of ventilation, and I didn't even have the center channel hooked up, a sI thought the center channel was causing the trouble.. I was actually online looking for a new center channel when it shut down..
Issue is, when it does that, its supposed to go into "Protect" mode and say "Protect" on the LED screen on the unit.. it never says Protect.. I also shut off sleep mode and turned on the "never shut down" mode... there's just something wrong with that unit.. Denon used to be kick-butt stuff in the 80's - haven't looked them up lately.. I bought the Sony because it was, like $200, and got GREAT reviews.. Right now I'll ride the Nakamichi until I can do my homework.. The Nakamichi is AWESOME.. Literally shakes the entire house.. and the neighbors house... and their neighbors house.. and their ancestor's neighbors house.. It just doesn't have HDMI hookups or a couple of other things I'd like..
Friendship is like peeing your pants.. Everybody can see it, but only you can feel the warmth..
