"The Crown" sounds fascinating, unfortunately we don't subscribe to Netflix. . . but if it were available on cable it would be a must see.

As for "Lonesome Dove". . . .I briefly watched the 90s series and didn't care for it much. Vickie would probably agree with you.

We seem to be lured to dark movies with blood and violence. . like "The walking Dead" and "Vikings."
