noticed something tonight that gave me solid evidence in my theory....

I had to sit through about 8, maybe 10 previews before the movie began. 30 minutes of them. After which, Star Wars, of course.

In not one of the movies previewed, and then again not once in the movie Star Wars.. was there a single bright and sunny day. Not one... ALL dark. Many shots at night but not all... but even in the daylight shots it was dark... EVEN in scenes were IN bright daylight.. filters were used to dull the skies, darken the sparse cloud cover, shadow the faces of the characters. There was not a SINGLE exception to this, not one.

It's not merely a trendy fad in today's film making, well, it is, but it's better described as 'an obsession'. I don't know if there is a 'dark' conspiracy behind it... plagiarism at it's worst... lack of creativity and originality... I don't know... but if you want to see a bright sunny day you're not going to find it in any of today's movies. - JamesJM

P.S. Someone will have an 'exception' so I reply: Prove it to me... and I'm NOT talking about a scene during daytime, plenty of those... I mean a BRIGHT - SUNNY - COLORFUL - DAY. Name ONE.
