I've used them every time I've bought a new car the last 20 yrs. However, the only benefit I see is you don't have to haggle and spending a whole day at the dealer listening to why you should buy the newest and greatest protection service. And you won't get screwed on the price either. By the same token if you really wanted to hard ball them you likely can save a few bucks on the price over what you can get at the car buying service. I choose a service like "autoland" because I simply know I won't get "taken" and they will deliver the car to my doorstep. It's convenient and a safe way to buy a car. But you will find someone out there who will tell you they got a better deal because they negotiated the hell out of the dealer. Fine-I don't care for the hassle.
