I am NOT a temperamental eater. Off the top of my head there are only two things I can say that I do NOT like. Buttermilk and Sweet Pickles, and I can even get those down if need be.
There were two meals, however, that I once had, (once), that I never got beyond the first bite... and in one case I didn't even get the one bite down.
1. I went to Subway early one day to try a breakfast sandwich, (I had never had one)... when ordering, (because I can't hear very well and I know how that annoys people so I usually just nod my head and hope that works), the young lady asked me something about my order of an egg and bacon sandwich... I nodded, (couldn't understand what she asked me). I got to my daughter's house, sat down to dine... took one bite and almost upchucked. I didn't, but I came close. Took the sandwich and tossed it. Here's what had happened... what the young lady had asked me was "Egg Whites or Yellow?". I had never heard of that... eggs, to me, are always both. I got White, 'white' only. Absolutely DISGUSTING. Now I've had bites of only the 'white' when I eat eggs but NEVER did it taste like this. Not sure what Subway uses for egg whites but it's not egg whites.
2. McD's McRib Sandwich.. when it first came out. HAD to try it. Got it at a drive thru... pulled out onto the road headed home and took a bite. This one I did NOT keep down. And I almost didn't get the window rolled down before having to eject it from my palate.
Not sure which of the two listed above was worse, probably a tie. I will NEVER have either again. - JamesJM
