the old box scores from the paper

our scoring back then was based on distance....I think 0-9 was 6 points 10-29 yards was 9 points and then the long TD was worth 12 points

if WRs ran the ball and scored it was double...really bizarre scoring, so you would have to check box score for length of the run or if the WR scored as a catch or run......really time consuming, but fun in a weird way like stratomatic baseball/football
