This is last night's game - - you'll see our first play from scrimmage, (High School Varsity).
I'm aware that only the QB is protected, by rules, while throwing a pass... although it it's no where near as 'protective' as the NFL. So what about when a non-QB passes the ball? This was NOT called a penalty. What do you think?
Keep your eye on the "hi-light" spot on Gavin, (passing the ball), and try not to follow the ball.
Yes, it was an amazing play, and caught everyone by surprise. Gavin *is* the backup QB but basically only in 'name'... #10, our starting QB... has offers from several major Div. I colleges... Rutgers, USC, Fresno St, Wyoming, the list is VERY long. Gavin is playing WR... getting QB reps in practice... although he's come in at QB a couple of times - once when our QB cut his hand and came out for a few plays... and last night at the end of the game because it was a rout... but he didn't throw a pass. - JamesJM
