Can't remember if I ever posted about my rat experience when I was 6 years old.. I was asleep with the covers up to my neck and it was about 6am, or so.. still a little dark, but light enough to make out stuff.. I "sensed" my mom was in the room and was standing over my bed about to stroke my head, but kept my eyes closed and pretended to be asleep.. when she stroked my head I would "wake up" and smile.. To explain the "sensed" part, close your eyes and wave your hand in front of your eyes - you should be able to kind of "see" and "sense" the movement.. I do, at least..
So, the next thing I know my lip is hurting like hell.. I open my eyes and see blood pouring out of my lip all over me and my bed.. I jump up, totally freaked out and run into the bathroom.. I was scared to death, so I climbed on the counter by the sink and looked in the mirror and blood was pouring out of my lip.. the whole bathroom looked like Charles Manson had had a party there..
I'm yelling and my brother, who never opened his eyes, is telling me to shut up and go to sleep.. my mom finally came in the bathroom and practically had a heart attack when she saw me.. She didn't believe me that I had no idea what happened and that it had happened in my bed..
So, long story (already) short, we determined a rat had gotten into the house, climbed up my bed, walked up to my face sticking out of the covers - where I "sensed" him being there, but thought it was my mom - and then bit me on the lip.. Thank god I didn't open my eyes and see him there.. I twas already enough of a nightmare, that would have sent me into permanent therapy..
I had to start abdominal rabies shots - which hurt like hell.. they caught the rat - about a foot long body not including the tail - and sent it off to be tested for rabies.. Luckily he was rabies-free and I only ended up getting 3 rabies shots out of 18...
this incident is probably why I have never slept well lol...
