A few years ago I had rats in a storage shed at the ranch, so I started feeding them D-Con. After a few days, I was unlocking the shed when I looked down and right next to my foot was a dead rat about the same length as my shoe (size 13). My vertical jump that day would have made Michael Jordan jealous.
My grandfather had a commercial fishing boat based in San Pedro in the 40s and 50s. My mother told me the wharf rats there were the size of small cats. Yech.
