Everyone out here has been talking about it today and it 'seems' like the micro-burst, or storm, was quite different than what some of us got hit with.... there was a definite 'path' to the reports of super high winds.
There was so much rain and dust and whatever in the air that it was impossible to visually see what was going on.
I have some palm trees lining my driveway... just trimmed them this year so only the tops are heavy with palm leaves... they range from maybe 25' to 40' or so and they were "literally" bent to parallel with the ground. The tops maybe 20' off the ground for the 40 footers. The shorter ones even closer.
It didn't last long... which is probably why I didn't receive much damage. - JamesJM
