"Scientists Discover The Elusive Neutrino". I can't remember exactly how it was worded but it was something like this:
"Scientists at Lawrence Livermore Labs have announced that the long lost and elusive Neutrino was discovered this last weekend. Astrophysics PHD Jack Hammer said, "yeah, we found it under the comfy chair in the scientist's rec room. Guess it was there all this time. Sometimes new discoveries are simply luck".
That was actually my 2nd favorite National Lampoon article - my first, and if you're of a sensitive nature you may be offended by this one:
"Scientist announce they have shot and killed the last 60 Whooping Cranes On Earth" - "Scientists announced this week they shot and killed the last living Whooping Cranes on earth saying - "We just give up, to hell with it".
