My niece just took the silver medal in the Junior Olympics in the hammer throw. She'll be a junior in high school this fall and has only been throwing for about a year so has a lot of work to do on her technique. She also throws shot and discuss, but the hammer is her best event. I'd love to see her make the Olympics one day. We're hoping that she'll at least get a full-ride scholarship. Apparently USC is already keeping an eye on her.
Unfortunately I don't have a video to upload of her. But this if from the 2008 Olympics (I think). My niece doesn't spin this fast yet... The power and balance are amazing though.
