It's by Trumpeter. A VERY detailed model. Heck, the aircraft each have 6-7 pieces. I even bought brass photo etched parts (Railings, stairs etc) I'm guesstimating it being a 4-6 month project. Sometime after that, I'll have my 1/350 USS Hornet (Doolittle raid / Midway ) to do. THAT will be a booger. I wanna get the wavy cammo on the hull JUST right. I'm also gonna order extra TBD Devastators. I want 15...to represent Torpedo Squadron #8

I still LOOOVE building but DANG, it gets harder and harder to see what I'm doing. I even have a desk mounted magnifying glass for the REAL small stuff.

What year is the Hornet, which I guess means, what are the planes that come with it. 1944, right?

I assume the Lexington comes with planes from 1942.

  Hornet is CV8. It was sunk in 1942 at Battle of Santa Cruz
