I just bought a new refrigerator - in the reviews there was a 1 star, so I read it.

The refrigerator has a pull out veggie drawer, separate and in-between the main compartment and the freezer. The review said that she had put all her frozen meat in this drawer, it thawed, ruined, and she was not a happy camper. Finished by offering reviewers a warning 'The middle freezer does not work".

Now that comes no where near your example but it's still a head scratcher.
