WAAAAY before Amazon and the other recent excuses. It was around 1988 or 89 that I first saw my Dad REALLY not liking his job. He saw the writing on the wall. SEARS became allllllllllllll about pinching pennies and milking customers while at the same time, running FAST away from quality customer service. My Dad and other sales people HATED it because they would take the heat for dumbazz Corporate "ideas". Dad used to LOVE to go to work. He was always covering for people who were off sick or an issue at home. The sky was the limit for sales people. And then it became all about fulfilling polices and greed. I get depressed when I walk into the same store my Dad worked in and see it lifeless.
