reading of any effort to condemn Sully.
The NTSB simply MUST explore all possibilities... prevent a recurrence if there was error.. instruct pilots either way. Since pilot error is by far the leading cause of aviation accidents it would have been scrutinized in Sully's case no matter what. No vindictive intent necessary.
I'm sure there were doubts in Sully's case... but IMHO these should have been portrayed in what I believe was close to the truth... that they didn't 'want' to believe Sully was at fault but they HAD to consider it.
I never read about TWA 800. Most of the reports I read over the years involved general aviation... 'learning' from these reports to make me a better pilot. But that said, I have read some of the bigger 'headline' accident reports.
