"Spotting" actors/actresses in movies. Things like, "oh, that was the little boy in that 1950's film The Searchers". Even with actors that were in no more than a handful of movies I'll "spot".
I do it in nearly every film... even non-speaking roles like, for example, a guy or gal standing in the background, (non speaking roles). Needless to say this annoys the hell out of my family.
Occasionally I'll 'know' an actor but can't place them... that is, in which other movies I saw them. This is a living hell for me and I cannot rest until I find the answer. Often I can't even enjoy the rest of a movie I'm watching because I HAVE TO KNOW where such and such actor appeared previously. I nearly always find the answer... VERY few exceptions, and I'm still working on those. - JamesJM
