We used to get them every year but budget cuts ended that for people UNDER 50. Being that I hit the big 5-0 in two weeks, I was scheduled. These physicals are DEEP! They do stress tests, lab work and even sonograms from the neck to the privates. The sonograms are a tad awkward but they find a LOT of stuff. It can show how fatty a liver is, if you have corotid blockage, tumors etc. I feel nervous because I AM 50, I'm not 20 something and lately, toooooo many people around me are currently dealing with or recently lost to cancer.
Also....YEEEEEE HAW....my first colonoscopy in 3 weeks!!! I hear they are a real......BLAST!!!!!!...the night before!
Wish me luck tomorrow. I'm probably fine but, as we all know, clean physicals are more precious each year. Been 5 years since my last.
