My last two books

were neither sophisticated nor difficult to read-but were fascinating.

1) "Boys in the Boat": The true story of the oarsmen from the University of Washington who took the gold in the 1936 Olympics from the favored Germans in Berlin

2) "A Man Called Ove": A fictional curmudgeon's many failed attempts at suicide. Hilarious.
