Except for me, its all about "feel"... When I'm NOT playing, its all about the sound, but when I'm playing, its all about the "feel"... When I'm playing, I don't really "hear" that the sound is great, but I can totally "feel" it if its great... That's another one that's difficult to explain.. People always telling me my guitar sound is great, but if it doesn't "feel" right to me, then I ain't happy...
That looks like an incredible venue.. and I'll bet it reeks of great acoustics.. you can just tell it does.. warm... full... lots of bottom end, but not boomy... the way its supposed to sound..
I've played places like that.. The pic here is a reunion show my band Damien did in 1987 at the Wichita Theater, which is a Texas State landmark.. The acoustics there are INCREDIBLE.. Michael Martin Murphy played there several times in the 70's and 80's and always did a song on his acoustic guitar and vocals and guitar were NOT going through the PA and you could hear him clear as a bell in the balcony in the back row.. Anyways, this is the only pic I have - the outside looks like a 50's theater with the marquee and everything.. its an incredible place..
Friendship is like peeing your pants.. Everybody can see it, but only you can feel the warmth..
