Just for the heck of it...

An old family photo. My grandpa, grandma.... and My Dad and some of his siblings. My Dad is the youngest, with blond hair? I've never understand the blond hair.

Probably taken about 1925, assuming my Dad was 2 in this photo. I never met my grandmother, she passed away in 1945 before I was born. My grandfather and I were best friends. He spoke VERY little English. Being 'country' I didn't have any playmates my age until I started school.. no one my age near me... so Americo, (my grandfather), assumed the role... best friend a kid could have. I didn't know it, and remember little of it, but until the age of 5 I MOSTLY spoke Italian because my grandfather and I were together all day.

LOVE the 'ties' my Dad's older brother's have on... not sure why my Dad didn't get one. Also love the collar on my grandfather's shirt, I wish that style would come back.
