Just found out that a very good friend of mine who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last week just found out that it has spread to the lungs and liver. I met this guy 25 years ago while working for the NAS Jacksonville Fire Dept. He is Hawaiian. He and his ex Wife had just transferred to Jax from Hickam in 92. What I find REALLY hard to think of is that he is the last of 6 of us who used to LIVE at sports bars, watching football in the early / mid 90s. Four have already passed, including my Brother. Mama has always quoted it best......Old age ain't for sissies!
Sorry to hear RAMGator....those "brothers" will always be near and dear to your heart. The memories y'all have built over the years will NEVER be taken. It is hard to hear that news.....I pray he doesn't suffer.
Last year we burried 3 of my A.F. Combat Logistic Support Squadron CLSS Brothers. All three had some form of cancer and another guy I worked with who was in the Air Force also.....last year was tough. All were local....we stayed in touch.
