and that ain't bias. He's the best, or tied with the best, athlete in every sport he plays... Football, Basketball, Baseball.

He's humble. I can't overstate that. It's NEVER gone to his head UNLESS... you want to count 'dedication'... he doesn't mind 'errors', 'lack of talent', but he will go ballistic if you aren't giving it 100%.

He's MUCH too hard on himself. Big problem.

His Dad is my height, 5' 6", his Mom is 5' 4"... he's not going to be big... High School, and for me college is certain as well. And though he's not going to be big... you will NOT want to fight him. Kid is solid muscle.. NOT muscle bound.. but striking. His Dad is like that. Not me.

This year, btw, will be the FIRST year since he started football that he will be playing in his age group EXCEPT his first year... at 6, Mighty Mites. At 7 he moved up to Pee Wee's, starting RB with the 8 and 9 year olds. In baseball (he's now 11), been playing with the 12's since he was 9, (another kid his age, (a month younger actually), doing the same. Like I said.. I'm not too 'keen' on that... BUT... he's the top player even when playing 'up' and it's keeping him interested... he's played a few games in his age group and he hates it because for him it's like playing with his younger brother... who is 7.

What I love the most about all this is: He's known, very well known, in the community, High School, as an 'athlete'... thus he's been the ball boy for the High School Varsity Football team since he was 7. He performs his 'ball boy duties' as well as he plays sports. Officials around Fresno know him well... he missed a game one time due to illness and the officials wanted to know where in the hell he was.

He's a good kid. He makes mistakes. He has a temper. He can be a little !@@hole... I think it's going well.
