* Jaws, of course, takes the cake for me.. that movie launched a 27 year (and counting) diving career, and a life-long obsession with sharks.. probably 1/10th of my vocabulary are lines from that movie..
* The Perfect Storm - Great flick about the fury of the sea.. stupidest script (lines-wise) ever, but great fun
* Open Water 2 Adrift - Holy cow, it all movies you're supposed to be rooting for people to survive their ordeals, but by the end of this movie, you're wishing they'd all just die because they're so stupid.. I literally fall on the floor laughing during some of the scenes in this movie - which was unintentional from the director..
* Finding Nemo - Just about the only animated movie I like.. very well done and form an animator's perspective, top notch..
* The Island - not so much an ocean movie, but I'll throw it in here cuz nobody else will and there is ocean involved, or there'd be no pirates, right?
* Jaws 2 - Oh hell, why not? Roy Scheider had to endure it.. you might as well, too.. Actually, its got some good scenes in it..
* Deep Blue Sea - Sure, why not? Worst CGI sharks - well, at least until Sharknado came along - ever.. but I watch it every single stinkin' time it comes on..
* Dolphin Tale - Its a nice flick and we need nice flicks every now and then..
* Poseidon Adventure - I normally hate it when the ocean is the bad guy, but somebody here has to be..
* Blue Crush - Its not that this movie is that good, but the underwater surfing photography was pretty impressive.. disappointing that a movie about hot chicks surfing didn't have at least ONE bikini wardrobe malfunction, but it is what it is..
* The Horror of Party Beach - and there it is.. I've mentioned this flick before.. its got it ALL: hot bikini chicks, beach bands, sea monsters that look like they have a mouth full of hot dogs, and the best surf music ever.. it even has a gorier version that took me about two years to find on DVD.. This movie scared me silly when I was a little kid.. now I watch it and laugh more than I do with most comedies..
